About this contract

The University of Huddersfield intends to appoint a supplier to provide metasurfaces for an extended period of time. These metasurfaces will be designed to act as optical components in a variety of optical metrology instruments that are currently under development. The different nanostructures to be formed on the surface allow the phase delay light experiences to be varied, allowing a flat optic with a thickness of the order of the wavelength of light to be created. These elements are designed to function using optical wavelengths of light, somewhere in the region of 660 nm. These elements will be used to reshape wavefront, divide light into its different wavelengths and manipulate its polarisation. The University requires a supplier to manufacture, deliver and acceptance test the metasurfaces.
