About this contract

The Authority is seeking a suitable organisation to provide and operate a materials recovery/recycling facility to receive, sort and transfer segregated materials to suitably licensed merchants or re-processors. The organisation will provide a complete record of all materials delivered, interim processors/outlets and the final destination of each material. Suitable delivery points are to be made available where the Authority will be able to deliver their collected materials. Additional information: Instructions to Suppliers: Applicants wishing to register their interest against this opportunity and obtain the tender documents should go to the web site located at www.nepoportal.org select North Tyneside Council and enter Contract A7FD-A8Z8X4. Completed tenders are to be returned by the deadline of before noon on 12.5.16 via the electronic tendering system on the aforementioned portal. Unregistered suppliers will be directed to a Supplier Registration form to be completed. The Authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any offer and will not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest or tendering for this contract. The proposed contract period will be 3 years with an option to extend for 1 year plus 1 year. Any contract will be considered as a contract made in England according to English Law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. No previous application or expression of interest will be taken as an application for the purpose of this contract notice.
