About this contract
Pre-Qualification Questionnaire for Design & Build Contractor for Phoenix Youth Centre Extension and Refurbishment Project, Daventry, Northamptonshire The Phoenix Youth Centre built in 1969 is in urgent need of modernisation and extension to make it more efficient and able to meet future requirements of Daventry District Council’s planned expansion. Whilst the building is structurally sound, weathertight and secure it does not meet operational needs. The Phoenix Youth Centre is a widely used facility by young people with over 36,500 visits annually, expected to increase to around 50,000 once the modernisation project is complete. Daventry District Council (DDC) is seeking to procure a Design and Build Contractor for the Construction Works with an estimated value in the region of £1.3-£1.5 million. DDC has appointed NPS Group as its Professional Consultants to oversee, co-ordinate and develop the Design to RIBA Work Stage 4, which has already included a substantial amount of design. Some Contractor designed elements remain as these may have an impact on the solution chosen or the sequence/method to be adopted.
