About this contract

Public Health England (PHE), also referred to as the 'Authority', is looking to appoint a contractor to undertake the works as stated below at CRCE Chilton, Didcot, Oxon, OX11 0RQ. Refurbishment of E Block at PHE Chilton, Oxon, OX11 0RQ Alterations are required to convert office and shower room into 2nr shower / changing facilities, and to access corridor. Work to include the following: - Furniture removal. -Licenced removal of asbestos containing wall insulation. - Removal of sanitary ware. -Removal of lockers and bench. - Removal of non-load bearing block walls. Infilling doorway. -Removal of single door set. - Removal of 2nr non-load bearing stud walls and single doorsets from corridor. - Construction of single skin of blockwork to form new 2nr shower rooms and lobby area. - Construction of single skin of blockwork to internal face of external glazed screens to corridor. - Replacement of glazed aluminium double doors with leaf & half solid core fire doors. - Replacement of timber double doors with new double solid core fire doors. - Replacement of suspended ceiling.- Replacement of lighting. - Replacement of carpet & vinyl with sheet vinyl. - Installation of new sanitary ware. -Installation of new lockers and benching. - Installation of new storage. The timetable for this tender is as follows: Expressions of Interest for arranging a site visit closes: 2pm 24th October 2018 Site Visit will be: 10 am 25th October 2018. Clarifications questions to be submitted by 2pm on 30th October 2018. Tender submissions must be delivered via Bravo by 3 pm on the 2nd November 2018. Contract commencement is anticipated for Wednesday 2 January. Duration assumed 6.5 weeks, project completion Friday 15 February SITE VISITS Site visits are a mandatory part of the tender process and tenders submitted without site visits being conducted will not be considered.
