About this contract
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust provides acute and specialist healthcare for a population of nearly two million people in North West London, and more beyond. We have five hospitals - Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea, St Mary's and The Western Eye - as well as a growing number of community services. With our academic partner, Imperial College London, we are one of the UK's seven academic health science centres, working to ensure the rapid translation of research for better patient care and excellence in education. We are also part of Imperial College Health Partners - the academic health science network for North West London - spreading innovation and best practice in healthcare more widely across our region. Quality Improvement (QI) Hub The ambition of the QI Hub is to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of care we offer to patients. We will realise this ambition through building a culture of continuous improvement in which staff and patients have the support and permission they need to make improvements. The trust-wide QI programme launched on 28 September 2015 at our Trust leadership forum alongside the launch of the new Trust values & behaviours, which strongly underpin the programme. The QI Programme is one of the key initiatives which enable the delivery of the Trust's promise better health, for life. Since September the team have established a training programme to build capability in improvement across the organisation: including offering team-based training ('Tools for Change'); specialist training in the skills needed for improvement ('QI Skills Series'); and our award winning patient, staff and community led co-design events ('QI Sprints'). We have also been working with teams and patients to scope out and develop QI projects which can be owned and sustained within our service teams. Our need Building on some early successes the QI Hub is seeking to engage with a specialist consultancy practice to strengthen patients and the public being at the heart of our improvement projects within the Trust. In addition we are seeking expert advice to enable us to design an improvement coaching academy for the North West London region. The supplier will need to be highly skilled and experienced in the field of quality improvement and patient and public involvement as well as be able to persuade and influence key decision makers across the organisation. The supplier will be a specialist in leadership development, training and change management. Additional information: Instructions to Suppliers: The Authority is using the NHS London Procurement Partnership member’s e-tendering Portal powered by Due North to conduct the procurement process ("the e-Tendering Portal").
