About this contract

The use of nutrition products is split between:- Unmixed licensed multi-chamber PN bags Licensed multi-chamber PN bags that have been supplemented with standard vitamins and trace elements in suitable aseptic facilities (to make unlicensed bags) Components used for compounding and additions to bags (e.g. infusion fluids, vitamins) Consumables (e.g. empty bags) Standardised unlicensed neonatal bags and syringes (suitable for supply to hospital after aseptic manufacture as part of a batch) This contract does not include PN supplied for homecare. The Contracting Authority for this ranked framework contract is Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust on behalf of the Thames Valley and Wessex Pharmacy Procurement Service. The Purchasing Authorities expected to access this contract are: Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Isle of Wight NHS Trust Milton Keynes University Hospital Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust (see note below**) Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust (including the Regional Manufacturing Unit) Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust This framework will also be available for use by Trusts in Kent, Surrey and Sussex (South East Coast) covering: East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust . Medway NHS Foundation Trust . Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust . Brighton and Sussex University Hospital NHS Trust . Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust . Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust . Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust . East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust . Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust . Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust *Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust has a local contract for PN and would only use this contract in the unlikely event that the local contract was terminated.
