About this contract

The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) is committed to ensuring the ongoing safety and airworthiness of a suite of parachutes and associated equipment on a ‘first time, every time’ basis. MOD has a requirement to support parachuting via a range of maintenance and logistics services, including but not limited to the configuration management, maintenance, repair, inventory management, storage, modification, packing and checking of a range of parachutes and parachuting equipment. This requirement is for circa 60,000 repairs, packing instances, checks, etc. of Airborne Forces Equipment (to support personnel parachuting) and Airborne Delivery Equipment (to support stores drops) in total per annum. This is flexible, as is the range of parachutes supported. Other services such as support to exercises at Main and Forward Operating bases may also be required. It is anticipated that the solution will run from April 2017 to 2023. MOD C17CSAE Project Team intend to invite to tender only those parties who are accredited to or capable of being accredited to BS EN ISO 9001 and Military Aviation Authority MAOS (Maintenance Approved Organisation Scheme) standards.
