About this contract
Project Objective(s) • Identification of what defines a restricted port; • Identification of ideal port facilities for each substructure type (including steel and concrete substructures) as well as establishing an optimum solution for all / most types; • Identification a range of technologies, methodologies and structures which have the potential to augment the capacity and capability of restricted ports in the context of their role in hosting substructure and wind turbine component marshalling, assembly and integration activities for FOW projects; • Results from a techno-economic study for a short list of these technologies, methodologies and structures to estimate the financial feasibility of their use in a project context; • Identification of innovation needs in this area; • A range of case studies outlining the potential application of technologies and innovations at specific ports.
