About this contract
The Isle of Wight Council ("the Authority") invites Quotes from suitably qualified suppliers ("Potential Suppliers") for the provision of an Open Space Study, Playing Pitch Strategy and Built Facilities Strategy. The Isle of Wight Council is embarking on an exciting regeneration journey. As part of this a Regeneration Strategy is being prepared, and the council is exploring how best to utilise its wide-ranging assets. It is also reviewing its key planning document, the Island Plan Core Strategy, and will be preparing a new local plan. To underpin these strategic pieces of work, the council is seeking to commission a study that will assess how future leisure needs and population growth will impact on the Island's existing green space, sport and recreation provision. By having an up-to-date and robust evidence base the council will be able to make informed decisions around what new facilities and services are likely to be required to satisfy the future green space, sport, community, recreation needs and whether existing facilities and services are superfluous to requirements or need improvements.
