About this contract
JNCC is a delivery partner for the Ocean Country Partnership Programme (OCPP), a UK government-led programme under the Blue Planet Programme. More information on the OCPP can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/blue-planet-fund/ocean-country-partnership-programme-ocpp. This contract aims to increase the knowledge, skills and capacity of government and university wildlife vets and veterinary students within Sri Lanka to confidently conduct necropsies of PET marine species (marine mammals, sea turtles and seabirds) through the delivery of a bespoke necropsy training programme. Necropsy training will contribute to the conservation management of Sri Lanka's PET marine species and support the development of standardised operating procedures for marine wildlife emergency response.
