About this contract

Newcastle University has 2 artificial grass sports pitches located at Longbenton Sports Ground. This tender is for the re-surfacing of the 3G pitch. The pitch has been the subject of a full condition survey undertaken by Labosport in February 2019. This document together with the Labosport Employers Requirements document sets out the performance, preliminary items, quality control, tender and contractual requirements for the project to replace the artificial grass surfacing to the 3G pitch at Longbenton. It is intended to be used by specialist sports surfacing companies as a basis for their design under a design and construct contract, and as such will enable them to submit a tender for the works contained herein. A design team of internal improvements staff are already in place comprising of a Building Surveyor, Mechanical Services Engineer and Electrical Services Engineer. Planning consent is not a requirement for this contract.
