About this contract

Northampton Borough Council have a legal duty to arrange the burial or cremation of any person who has died within our area where it appears to the authority that no suitable arrangements for the disposal of the body have been made. We are seeking a Provider to carry out the work required to arrange such burials or cremations as outlined in the specification. The service will be required from 1st October 2017 for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further period of up to 1 year, taking the total contract term to a maximum of 4 years. Any extension will be agreed between the Council and the provider. The Authority believes that TUPE does not apply to this contract at its commencement. The detailed requirements are defined in the Specification. The deadline for completed ITTs to be received on the LGSS eTendering Portal is 12:00noon on Tuesday 1st August 2017. PLEASE NOTE that LGSS Procurement are able to provide support to any potential provider wishing to submit a Tender for NBC Funeral Services. This will include support around accessing the Tender, starting your submission and submitting (rather than completing scored questions).
