About this contract

Nexus is seeking to establish a Zero Value Framework Agreement for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire vehicle services across the Tyne and Wear area. Specifically, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, and Sunderland. The provision includes pre-planned staff transport and responsive taxi services for: • Nexus staff members between Gosforth Metro Depot or Gosforth Control Centre and Howdon Satellite Depot. • Nexus staff members from any Metro site on an ad hoc basis. • Members of the public from any Metro site during times of service disruption on an ad hoc basis as required. • Any of the above may require the use of accessible vehicles suitable for carrying wheelchairs and mobility aids. The Framework Agreement duration will be for a period of 36 months with an option to extend for a further 12 months.at the discretion of Nexus. Nexus is seeking to appoint 3 suppliers to this framework. Nexus intends to use this framework agreement primarily on a direct award basis, with no further call for competition. Nexus intends to rank supplier's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
