About this contract

The London Borough of Newham invites Request for Quote (RFQ) for the delivery of Independent Mental Health Advocacy services to qualifying patients in Newham covered by the Mental Health Act 2007. IMHA services provide an additional safeguard for patients who are subject to the Act. They are provided by advocates who are trained specifically to work within the framework of the Act to meet the needs of patients. The provider together with Newham's Health and Wellbeing Board, Newham Clinical Commissioning Group and Newham Council will be committed to improve the wellbeing and outcomes for people with mental health problems, through promoting good mental health, preventing mental illness and caring for people, as per the Newham joint mental health strategy in 2015. In line with the local context, the Provider shall seek to increase personal and community resilience through the provision of information, advice and guidance, peer advocacy and group advocacy in addition to traditional one-to-one (1-1) case-work. The contract will be for an initial period of 12 months and is expected to commence on 1st April 2018. This RFQ is only by invitation for all providers. Kindly contact the buyer directly to express interest in the opportunity.
