About this contract

Development of software for military applications. This contract procures the development and maintenance of a suite of high integrity software projects and component products, considered fundamental capability for NATO and support for UK defence equipment programmes. The capabilities delivered include ballistic trajectory calculations, terrain data management and deconfliction, management and use of meterological data, providing coordinate transforms and gross error checks on Fire mission data for a number of UK defence equipment programmes. These capabilities are delivered to the following projects: Operational METGM production at the UK Meteorological Office, Fire Control Battlefield Information System Application (FC BISA), Fire Control Application (FCA) and the Type 26 Global Combat Ship (GCS) Gun Fire Control Systems (GFCS). The following projects that may require these capabilities are Advanced Sound Ranging Programme (ASP), Type 45 Destroyer Gun Fire Control System (GFCS) and the Light Gun (105mm L118) and AS90 (115mm) weapon platforms.
