About this contract
Centro’s Metro Delivery Team is developing further extensions to Midland Metro. Metro Line 1 has been in operation since 1999 and the Birmingham City Centre Extension to New Street Station is under construction, with further extensions from New Street Station to Centenary Square, and to the Rail Station in Wolverhampton in the detailed design phase. Centro also has a new fleet of trams in service and has recently opened an extension to the Metro depot at Wednesbury. Following on from the above, Centro is developing a Edgbaston Extension which will link to the forthcoming Centenary Square Extension. The proposed route of the tram will require Centro to consult with any party whose land interests are affected by the scheme, especially those from whom Centro wishes to acquire land on both permanent and temporary basis. A TWA Order is required to provide the necessary powers to construct and operate the Edgbaston Extension including the powers to compulsorily acquire land. This tenders seeks to commission consultants to provide land referencing services to support the TWA application. Interested parties should register to view the full details of the requirements at https://centro.bravosolution.co.uk.
