About this contract

Re-surface the Mere's Mouth area in Diss with high quality surfacing treatment. The area includes the pedestrian / vehicle accessible area in front of Diss Mere with a paved footpath separating two sections (185 sqm); the area leading around the Mere past the supermarket and along Madgett's Walk (330sqm) and the small area just into Diss Park from Madgett's Walk, just beyond the fishing platform (10sqm). Specification as follows: • To scrape clear the existing surface area • To break up and excavate the existing surface area to the required depth • To cart all spoil off site to tip • To back fill the excavated area & level all holes / low areas where required to form a solid level base surface • To re-set any loose edging bricks • Either to cover area overall, applied to an approximated average depth of 50mm, with natural gravel or grey granite coloured pre coated resin chippings well rolled in • Or to cover area overall with UVR resin bound stone, in a colour of the customer's choice, applied to an approximated average depth of 14mm & scatter surface with anti-slip glass Enquiries to towncouncil@diss.gov.uk or on 01379 643848.
