About this contract
The London Borough of Hackney (the Council) and City & Hackney CCG (CCG) are seeking a suitable organisation to host a mental health user-led involvement service to support the Council and CCG in the commissioning of services for people with mental health needs in The London Borough of Hackney and the City of London and a peer mentoring service. The CCG provides health services for the City of London & Hackney populations. The service provider will have to evidence engagement across both these areas. An appropriate organisation needs to be local to Hackney and independent of any currently commissioned provider networks funded by the Council and CCG. We would encourage SMEs and user led organisations to bid. The Service will facilitate consultation and liaison with, and offer engagement opportunities to, the widest range of adults 18 years and older who have lived experience and expertise of mental health services. This contract has a fixed budget of £70,000 for user involvement and peer mentoring for one year 2017/18. It is expected that this service will be provided in future years as part of the London Borough of Hackney's Advocacy Services contract. The successful service provider will be expected to bid to continue providing this contract as part of a wider Advocacy Services contract that will start in 2018 and run for three years; if not successful, the provider will have to transfer all service users to a new supplier.
