About this contract

Suppliers are invited to declare interest in coming and presenting the following to Lancashire Teaching Hospital's: To provide a Managed Equipment Service (MES)solution in partnership with Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on Imaging equipment. Currently Lancashire Teaching Hospitals have a range of imaging Equipment. Ranging from MRI's, CT's, Ultrasound machines, C-Arms, Gamma Cameras, Interventional Suites, mobile X-ray, x ray systems, fluoroscopy systems. In total we have in excess of seventy of medical equipment, across two sites - Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble District Hospital. If you can please outline your capabilities, and scope out how you would propose to manage such a service. Please consider the following when replying: · A structured equipment replacement programme with agreed timescales. · The term of the proposed MES. · Flexible approach to equipment purchase in consideration of clinical strategy and technological advances. · Performance assessed project management. · Agreed equipment uptime targets. · Cost savings on procurement of new equipment · What performance guarantees do you provide? · Transfer of responsibility for assets that will transfer from LTH. · Transfer of risks - eg. damage to equipment, insolvency. · How do you enhance patient care, and how will you in the future? · What efficiency benefits can you deliver - both financial and also clinical? · How would you manage any building projects as part of this MES? · Consumables spend - How would you look to manage this spend? · How would you audit and assess existing medical equipment? · What is your approach to risk management? · How would you keep pace with technology?
