About this contract
Luton Borough Council's Building and Technical Services Division (BTS) is seeking suppliers to provide a wide range of supplies and materials to cover its day-to-day repairs operation and planned and programmed works delivery. BTS wishes to maintain a responsive and quality driven service to its customers. The initial contract will be for a period of 36 months with an option to extend for a further 48 month split into two extension periods (3 + 2 +2). The contract will be divided into 2 lots. Lot 1 Building Supplies Materials Lot 2 Hire of Plant and Equipment. The contract value for Lot 1 is £14,112,000 (includes extensions) and Lot 2 £800,000 (includes extensions) BTS provides a Responsive Repair, Planned/Programmed and New Build service to Luton Borough Council. The Council has approximately 8000 properties, including low rise and high-rise flats, traditional and non-traditional houses and sheltered properties. As well as day-to-day repairs, BTS complete cyclical/planned programme repairs to ensure the condition of the stock is maintained, this includes programmes such as bathroom and kitchen replacement. In addition BTS deliver a New Build Development Programme for LBC. The Closing date for this SQ is 13th December 2019 at 1pm.
