About this contract

South West Lincolnshire CCG as the Federated Lead Commissioner on behalf of South West Lincolnshire CCG, South Lincolnshire CCG, East Lincolnshire CCG and West Lincolnshire CCG invite you to a market engagement event. The CCGs currently commission Residential and Community care for Learning Disability Responsible Commissioner clients on a spot purchase basis. The CCGs fund the placements under their duties of Responsible Commissioner status as part of the Care Act. The care will be funded either as fully funded health care (100% CHC) or as a joint funded package of care with the other funding commissioner (originating commissioner). There are a number of rules under Responsible Commissioner Status which determine the funding source of the LDRC fees The CCG recognise that spot purchase commissioning is; a) Not the most cost effective way of managing this provision of care and ensuring that value of money is being achieved. b) Suitable provision (to best meet the needs of the client) is not always available at the time of commissioning the original placement. The CCGs are looking at implementing a framework for providers to sign up to, for the care of LDRC clients. The framework will have a number of tiered costs to match the service provision being provided. The framework is being driven to ensure that the cost of care being provided is consistent and that the care is best meeting the needs of the clients involved. This is to ensure quality is being met at the same time of ensuring value for money is being achieved. The framework will also include a number of quality and safeguarding indicators that will ensure care is being delivered to the highest standard but also providers are supported to meet these measures. The CCGs would like to invite all current and future Learning Disability Providers to this event, so that they can help shape the detail behind it and understand the implications of the proposed framework. . Dates of the Market Engagement Events are: 10th September 12th September 26th September Places are strictly limited therefore reservations are limited to no more than 2 persons per organisation.
