About this contract

The London Borough of Newham (LBN) is seeks Request for Quote (RFQ) for procurement of maintenance and repair of medical equipment. The equipment is held by the Council's (0-19) years Children's Health service. The weighing of children and young people is an integral component of the Healthy Child Programme in order to support the robust monitoring of growth, development and healthy weight. As such the Council has a stock of medical scales that require on going maintenance and repair, in order that scales are fit for purpose and support high standards of nursing care. Whilst medical scales form the bulk of the Council's stock of medical equipment, it also holds other items of medical equipment that require on going maintenance and repair This Request for Quote (RFQ) invites bids for a period of up to four years (initially for 2 year, with scope for extending for up to 2 years in 1 year increments i.e. 2+1+1). The contract extension will be at the Borough's sole discretion and subjected to further grant. The tender period starts on 7th Feb 2018 with the contact scheduled to start on 2nd Apr 2018. Bids will be evaluated on a 70% price, 30% quality weighting.
