About this contract

The Judicial Office is seeking a supplier to provide bespoke media training for key judges and magistrates. To support our commitment to openness and increase transparency and public understanding of the judicial system, it is vital that we have media trained judges and magistrates that can be offered and deployed, at short notice, to the media to answer questions about the judiciary and respond to specific queries. The Judicial Press Office is routinely requested to provide judges and magistrates to respond to media requests. Judges are different from any other similarly prominent groups in public life and usually have no or little experience of media, particularly outside criminal courts.To mitigate any reputation risk and ensure that judges/magistrates are able to face any sensitive questions it is imperative that only media trained individuals are offered to the media.
