About this contract
The Japanese Garden (NGR SE 294551) is located on the Eastern side of Harrogate's Valley Gardens at the source of the stream which flows down the valley to the main gates of the gardens and covers an area of about 0.27ha. In January 2017, Friends of Valley Gardens (FOVG), in partnership with Harrogate Borough Council (HBC) and with the help of the Japanese Garden Society, started a three year project to restore the Japanese Garden. The Project Team, made up of representatives of HBC and FOVG, are seeking to appoint a Main Contractor to carry out and oversee the bulk of the groundwork required to restore the Japanese Garden and to liaise with other contractors regarding their individual input. This main contract is for: • Drainage Works • Watercourse clearance and reshaping • Moving and adjusting large rocks in several areas within the garden • Creation of and resurfacing of paths • Creation of foundations for three bridges • Construction and siting of two new entrance gateway arches • Installation and re-siting of three benches • Installation of three granite lanterns Additional information: Documents are available via www.yortender.co.uk Submissions must be made via www.yortender.co.uk
