About this contract

1. Introduction The NLPU requires the services of an agency to assist in the creation and hosting of video content. The scope of the contract will include the commissioning of the agency to create some emotive, engaging, shareable, relevant and fun content to highlight and raise awareness of the 535,000 inspirational projects that are National Lottery funded. In the 24 years since the National Lottery began, £38 billion has been awarded to organisations across the UK. The NLPU's overarching aim is to raise awareness of the £30 million a week that goes to National Lottery good causes and we would like to champion the people and projects involved - shining a light on the strong human interest stories at the heart of each piece of content, with National Lottery funding as the background theme. Our biggest campaign is The National Lottery Awards, which we have run for over 15 years in partnership with the BBC. This focusses on finding the UK's favourite National Lottery projects. The campaign reaches millions of people, but the demographic of the audience is 35 years-old plus. We would like to create content that will reach and appeal to a younger audience of 18-34 year olds - to better showcase some of the more topical projects that are National Lottery funded across the UK. Previous content we have produced that has been targeted to a younger audience has been smaller scale (reaching hundreds or thousands of people) and not always topical. We would like to produce bigger, newsworthy pieces of content that will reach millions of young people. We require a series of content to be produced, with at least two videos to be hosted on an external agency's channels, and promoted on social media.
