About this contract

The Big Lottery Fund (the Fund) is seeking to strengthen its communications response to unexpected scenarios (\"crisis communications\"). As a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Cabinet Office we expect our standards of response to be transparent, effective and timely and as such we are reviewing our communications response and scenario planning and require a suitably qualified, skilled and experienced service provider to support us in this activity. The Fund has recently reviewed and revised its crisis communications plans, which identifies communications processes and responses in an unexpected scenario. In order to test and improve this plan we are looking for an expert communications provider to work with us to create a simulation exercise to test these processes and make improvements. The service provider will work with the Fund's Communications Team to devise a series of possible scenarios and design and run a simulation exercise that captures all of the Fund's communication channels (e.g. press, political, website/ social media). This will result in a half-day session with members of the Fund's Senior Management Team and the Communications Team, and will include a write-up of the simulation that will help to inform the Fund's policies and plans.
