About this contract
Herefordshire Council and NHS Herefordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) have statutory requirement duties under various legislation to provide community Equipment for people with an assessed eligible social or health care need. Under a Section 75 agreement this service is integrated, with Herefordshire Council acting as the Lead Commissioner. The existing Integrated Community Equipment Service is central to the delivery of the prevention and well being priorities of the council and its partners with changing demand in social and health care, this Service needs to continue to evolve to better meet the demands of stakeholders. The service supports around 7000 people per year with approximately 20,000 items of equipment. It delivers, installs, collects, recycles and maintains a wide range of basic and complex equipment. The council welcome bids from organisations that can deliver an end to end service in line with the specification.
