About this contract
Historic England currently operates an MPLS based voice and data network supplied and managed by a third party as part of a multi-year contract. The network provision includes both leased line and ADSL last mile provision, a widely implemented corporate Wi-Fi solution, cloud based VoIP and connectivity to Microsoft's Azure services. The network is primarily based on Cisco equipment with a limited implementation of Juniper and Barracuda firewalls. As part of a due diligence exercise it has been determined that an external independent network audit should be undertaken to assure Historic England that the network is optimally configured both under standard conditions and under failure scenarios, including identification of any bottlenecks or other constraints within the implementation. The scope of this exercise is to carry out a detailed, low level review of the current network architecture considering capacity, performance and resilience of the network and to provide a management summary of the current condition of the network and a detailed set of proposed actions to address any areas of concern Additional information: Suppliers interested in this opportunity should register at https://in-tendhost.co.uk/historic-england/aspx/Home in orderto express interest and download documentation.
