About this contract
The overall aim of the research is to understand what we can learn from intelligence models used in other comparable sectors so that we can make better use of our intelligence to identify significant risks and problems to patient safety and medical practice at cohort, practice setting and location specific level. The research has two objectives: a) To identify and gather descriptive information and evidence on intelligence models (focusing on the theoretical models, tools, systems and processes to collate and use intelligence to spot real time and emerging risks.) b) To review how well these models work in practice and identify lessons learnt and good practice principles.
