About this contract
The Client invites tenders to provide the service for an ICT in relation to stabilisation and repair works of Carrickfergus Piers from RIBA stages 3-6. A Carrickfergus Harbour Condition Assessment reports was completed in 2018 by AECOM and updated in 2023 by Doran’s. The 2023 updated Condition Assessment of Carrickfergus Harbour report along with its, Options for Remedial Works, has been used to develop the business case and is the preferred option of works. The project is for the provision of an ICT to assist the client in the delivery of stabilisation and repair works of Carrickfergus Piers. Works to include but not limited to: The consult to review the Doran’s Condition Assessment of Carrickfergus Harbour & Remedial Works Report carried out in 2023 and provide an addendum to the current condition of the harbour structures highlighting priority repairs which are to be included as part of the contract. Albert Edward Peir - Anode replacement - Anode Installation - RC Skin to parapet wall Alexandra Pier - Investigate the purpose and ownership of the piles close to the gangway ramp - Visual inspection of the slab above the structure - Resurfacing works - Anode replacement - RC skin to parapet wall William Pier - Removal of marine growth - Replace missing stones - Repointing with lime mortar - Sealed culvert: install stone facing similar to existing to the upstream and downstream faces. Wedged concrete to be saw cut flush with the structure. Possible removal works of old smuggles cove restaurant.
