About this contract
North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent CCGs are looking to commission a home intravenous antibiotic programme for the following conditions; • Non- complex cellulitis • Non-complex UTIs • Non-complex respiratory conditions The service provider will take on full governance responsibility for patients treated with IV antibiotics in their home. The service provider will ensure appropriate medical governance is in place covering :- • Assessment and triage • Prescribing and treatment initiation • Changes to medication prescriptions during treatment provision of IV antibiotics in the patients' usual place of residence • Develop care plan with patients and review treatment at 3, 5,7,10 and 14 day intervals This will be with effect from Monday 19th November 2018 until 19th November 2019 The CCGs reserve the right not to award a contract following receipt of proposals' Additional information: Any service commissioned will be subject to NHS Terms and Conditions. Bidders should provide a brief proposal as part of your expression of interest to cover the following: 1) An outline plan that demonstrates how you will deliver high quality care whilst fulfilling the specification as identified above including proposed financial model/costs, proposed workforce and competency levels, medical governance arrangements and contingency planning e.g. periods of annual/ sick leave 2) An outline mobilisation plan with an expected commencement date of Monday 19th November 2018. If this is not achievable, please indicate in your proposal the earliest commencement date.
