About this contract

BEIS is seeking to procure written guidance on heat network interaction with the Electricity industry. Due to the specialist nature of the electricity industry it will clearly outline the terms used by the industry giving detail to the meanings. The economics of a network can be substantially increased if a more favorable value for the output of small scale electricity generation can be achieved. The aim is to enhanced revenue routes in order to get best value for power output including optimal price from the wholesale markets thereby presenting more investable schemes. Part of the work will examine exemptions and an internal note will be produced that gives detail how they can affect different network scenarios. Case studies and flow diagrams will be used to in order to convey information effectively. If a contract is created it will be upon BEIS Standard Terms and Conditions, which are available on Contracts Finder with this notice. Completed tender submission must be returned to hndu@decc.gsi.gov.uk, by 12:00 14th December 2016. After reviewing and evaluating the written proposals, BEIS may decide to hold bid clarification meetings with suppliers. If successful and upon contract signature, the supplier is expected to attend a kick-off meeting taking place week commencing 2nd of January 2017 This contract is for 4 months.
