About this contract

Refurbishment of the toilet block at Harthill Village Hall, Harthill Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This is the 4th and final stage of the refurbishment of the hall and previous refurbishments have included a new kitchen, renovation of the main hall and repairs to the exterior. The toilet refurbishment project is subject to a successful funding application to The Veolia Environmental Trust which has largely funded previous refurbishment. The application will be submitted before 12th April 2018 once a contractor has been chosen and prices are known. 20% of the required funding will be provided by Harthill with Woodall Parish Council and this is already in place. This phase of the overall refurbishment seeks to upgrade the toilet block, introduce baby changing facilities and replace the floor. We are keen to introduce environmental aspects to the project if / where possible and would welcome additional ideas for this. Other aspects of the refurbishment completion to be included in this round (but are not part of this tender) are the installation of a hearing loop system into the main hall and lounge areas of the building, and installation of insulation in the kitchen and lounge roof space. It is likely that this work will be undertaken at the same time as the toilet refurbishment but will not affect access. The timescale of the project (subject to funding) will be as follows:- Tender closing date - 19th March Tender assessment and selection - 20th March Successful contractor notified - by 22 March Submission of bid to Veolia - by 12th April Veolia decision - 5th June Pre construction meeting and contacting - by 22nd June Work to commence - mid to late August (flexible) Additional information: Clarification Request 1 Following a request for clarification on the spec and drawings, we wish to add - 1. Re Toilet Paper Dispensers, there is a discrepancy between the Schedule of Works and the Drawings. The SoW is correct and the Dispensers are Supply and Fit. 2. The external works on the drawing aren't currently shown on the SoW. Please price external works but list them as a separate item at the end of the schedule.
