GROUNDS MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS FOR TENDER SWANMORE PARISH COUNCIL Contract(s) start: 1st April 2020 Contract(s) end: 31st March 2023 Contracts value: £69,000 - £99,000 Deadline for Tender Submission: Tuesday 5th November at 14:00 Overview of Swanmore Parish Council The Parish Council operates a committee system. This tender is being managed by the Open Spaces & Amenities Committee, with delegated authority from Full Council. Overview of Services Required The Grounds Maintenance Service required by the Council broadly comprises of grass cutting & strimming, clearance of hedge and fence lines, preparation of the sports grounds, cleaning of the sports pavilion, litter collection prior to these tasks, the removal of graffiti, general clearance, the disposal of waste at various sites and routine checks at our toilet block. Swanmore Parish Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations and sole traders for two three-year grounds maintenance contracts. We are offering two grounds maintenance contracts, as the financial management of Swanmore Recreation Ground is with Swanmore Recreation Ground Trust. However, as all Trustees are Parish Councillors and the day to day management of the ground is with Swanmore Parish Council, it is anticipated that both contracts will be awarded to the same contractor. The land & property, as applicable to these services, is situated across the Parish of Swanmore. 7 sites comprise: • Grassed play areas with play equipment and exercise equipment • Grassed open spaces for informal recreation • Recreation land with sports pitches • Skatepark, BMX track, MUGA • Footpath • Sports Pavilion and Toilet Block • Associated car parks • Future Allotments (development timeline 2020/21) To request the ITT and supporting documents please e-mail: projectsofficer@swanmorepc.org.uk All tenders must be submitted on Swanmore Parish Council paperwork.
