About this contract
Forest Enterprise England is inviting tenders from suitably experienced and competent contractors to carry out ground preparation work within North England Forest District. We will be awarding a framework agreement for Ground Preparation of previously harvested sites of which the majority of work will be trench mound ditch & dollop to a uniform pattern of 2750 mounds per hectare. In addition we require trench mound ditch and dollop to a number of lower densities, site drainage, brash raking, formation of access tracks and shooting mounds. Our intention is to award this framework agreement for a period of four years with break points available at the end of years two and three. The District requirement is for 645 hectares in year one, rising to approximately 850 hectares in the subsequent years. The work will be split into five lots, a mix of geographical directly awarded lots and a framework wide lot where works will be awarded as a result of mini-tender competitions.
