About this contract
Chorley and South Ribble and Greater Preston CCGs are commissioning a community integrated musculoskeletal (IMSK) and related conditions service for the local population. The IMSK service will ensure that people with MSK and related conditions have access to high quality, effective and timely advice, assessment, diagnosis and treatment appropriate to their condition. The model will be based on a single point of access structured around a smooth patient journey and seamless, evidence-based integrated care pathways. Shared decision making and patient self-care will be embedded throughout. Specifically, the service will include the following disciplines: Physiotherapy; MSK assessment and treatment; Rheumatology; Persistent MSK Pain Management and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome service. The IMSK service will maximise patient mobility, function and quality of life for patients with both short and long term conditions. This will include ensuring effective pain management. The contracts are for five years with an option to extend up to a further two years and the advertised price shows the anticipated value for five years inclusive of VAT. Draft specifications are available but these are likely to change. Please note this is a pseudo competitive dialogue in line with the MOI for the project. Please note the contract start date is indicative only and is to be agreed following the dialogue sessions
