About this contract
The Home Office is seeking to award grant funding to a single organisation, which can supply and install protective security measures (e.g. CCTV, cameras, locks, fencing) to Places of Worship ("POW") with evidence of vulnerability to hate crime in England and Wales. The scope of the services to be completed by the successful organisation includes (although may not be limited to): 1. Grant management including setting up and managing the POW application process, on-site assessments in collaboration with Home Office security experts, providing support to POW applicants and completing initial sifting of the applications to ensure POW's meet the basic scheme eligibility criteria. 2. Supply and installation of the security equipment. Bidders should note that all POW applications will be submitting their applications for works to be completed by March 2020. The end to end process will be provided in the competition documentation. Bidders should consider how best to provide support to the Places of Worship (POW) applicants to meet our policy aims and note that they will need to be able to demonstrate, as detailed in the Evaluation Criteria: • Expertise in providing and installing security equipment • Ability to deliver within the timelines • Partnership working • Monitoring, evaluation and shared learning • Faith neutrality • Value for money The successful Bidder(s) will be funded by means of a Grant Agreement, rather than a contract, signed with the Authority. Commercial agreements will be between the successful Bidder and the POW applicant. All applications must be submitted electronically via Crown Commercial Services' online eSourcing Suite, for which Bidders must be registered as Suppliers. The competition for this grant will launch on 29th April 2019 with a deadline for full and final proposals on 14:00 hrs on 20th May 2019.
