About this contract

The Council invites quotations for an expert GIS, and spatial data consultancy to provide the following as part of a short-term engagement. 1. Define local authority specific best practice. o Spatial data and system support model o Effective management and governance of spatial data o Skills required to consume and leverage spatial data o Optimum funding model for annual GIS usage including resource and GIS product development 2. Review the usage of the councils current GIS systems, data and processes and provide a gap analysis against best practice (Note that the Council conducted an internal discovery a couple of years ago which will be made available as a starting point see Appendix 1). 3. Provide options appraisal for filling any identified gaps. 4. Suggest a best-fit strategy for Croydon and tactical steps and road map to the desired state. 5. Engage with senior leadership team stakeholders to educate and champion organisational benefits through being able to leverage spatial data in decision-making, and the necessary sponsorship required to facilitate this. 6. Discuss findings, recommendations, and implementation roadmap with senior management team.
