About this contract
NOTE: This notice was updated on 27 June 2016 for the following reason: Senior management made the decision to abandon this tender due to changes within the organisation. All 5 bidders were notified as per Regulation 55(1)(b) of the Public Procurement Regulations 2015.A qualified Contractor is required to provide a response repairs service for roofing repairs on both flat and pitched roofs. In addition to the response repairs service, larger programmed works may be ordered. The Contractor will also be required to provide all Safe Working Platforms needed to provide the Services. The projected budget for this work over the course of the Contract is £300k per annum. The average cost per job for the response repairs work, excluding access equipment charges, over the past 12 months has been approximately £200. There is no maximum order value for this contract. The Client prioritises orders but often requires an immediate response within a two hour response time to either affect a temporary repair or complete a repair. To ensure that the Contractor is consistently performing in relation to the assigned Key Performance Indicators the contractor will be required to have meetings with the Client as stipulated within this Invitation to Tender. All Tenderers must hold a relevant Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) certificate which includes Construction Contractor, Principal Contractor , CDMC, Designer, Group and Non-Construction as part of the SSIP audit. Please see www.ssip.org.uk for more details of the relevant schemes. All Tenderers must be registered on Constructionline and have a Contract Notation of at least £300,000 in an appropriate Category. This is based on the estimated annual cost of the contract. The Client does not guarantee to place any work on any resulting contract. The Contract shall be for 3 years with an additional two periods of 12 month extensions available subject to satisfactory performance of the contactor. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
