About this contract

Jessop Fertility is looking to purchase a laser designed for blastomere / trophectoderm biopsy to enable a Pre implantation genetic diagnosis and Pre implantation genetic screening service to be developed at Jessop Fertility. The key features of this devise: •Must be compatible for use with the current micromanipulation system used at Jessop Fertility (Research Instruments Integra 3) •Must be a high power laser with validated evidence for the safe use with human embryos / blastocysts (designed for minimal energy near sample) •Must have the ability draw straight or curved lines and have the ability to select the number and size of holes with high accuracy •Must have a high quality imaging system •Have relevant device approval This is a new service for Jessop Fertility and staff will require biopsy training. The provision of support and training will be evaluated in the tender. An evaluation will be required to assess whether a static or movable laser is preferred. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
