About this contract
The British Business Bank was established to ensure the small business finance markets in the UK are functioning correctly, with a large part of our work relating to private equity markets- In particular venture capital. We therefore require access to a VC database covering all aspects of the market. The procured data will have three core purposes: a.Provide us with insights into global VC market trends b.Provide our product teams with a platform they can use to analyse the investment activity of specific fund managers as part of the due diligence process. The product teams will also use the platform as a benchmarking tool (for fund/ round sizes amongst other things) c.Provide us with an API feed which will give us information on the sectoral classifications of our equity portfolio (i.e. companies that have received funding from one of our portfolio funds) Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
