About this contract

Industrial advances in helmet technology suggest that an enhanced combat helmet is available. As such, the user is seeking a combat helmet solution, with enhanced ballistic and non-ballistic protection, that is suitable for the full spectrum of operational activities and environments. Tenderers are to develop, test and deliver 4 x functional helmets that achieve the specified requirements (ballistic and non-ballistic performance) by a single, scalable protection helmet system. If you are able to answer yes to the majority of the following questions, and indicate that you are interested in receiving the full statement of requirements (classified O-S) this can posted to you. • Do you have experience with working with UK MOD on classified projects? • Do you have a past history of supplying UK MOD with helmets? • Do you have experience of developing and manufacturing bullet resistant helmets? • Do you have experience of developing and manufacturing scalable helmet protection? • Do you have the ability to assess the protective performance and non-ballistic (blunt impact/drop) testing?
