About this contract
The Council wishes to contract with an organisation(s) that will provide necessary Stray Dog Collection and Kennelling Services to BDC and SNC within the contract (if any awarded) duration period. The Council has considered that this opportunity is suitable for small and medium sized enterprises ("SMEs") and, to assist, has decided to split its Services into two lots to ensure increased competition and opportunity: Lot 1: BDC seek a suitable experienced and licensed contractor to provide stray dog collection, kennelling and rehoming services. The Council has an administrative area of 55,215 hectares made up of urban, semi-urban and rural areas and serves a population of approximately 125,000 residents in 55,300 premises. The estimated value for a two-year contract with two one-year extensions for this lot is £80,000. Lot 2: SNC seek a suitable experienced and licensed contractor to provide stray dog collection, kennelling and rehoming services. SNC has an administrative area of 90,8779 hectares made up of urban, market town and rural areas with a population of 135,000 residents in 54,620 households. The estimated value for a two-year contract with two one-year extensions for this lot is £88,000. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
