About this contract
Places of Worship and historic buildings have a duty to manage, maintain and restore the fabric of their buildings and their surroundings. This tender invites submissions from organisations or sole traders who are qualified to deliver a range of Tree Surgery and Maintenance Services to listed and unlisted Places of Worship and Historic Buildings ( including associated domestic and non-domestic buildings) across England and Wales, as commissioned by Registered Users ( Users) through the MaintenanceBooker service, a national procurement portal ran by 2buy2 and the National Churches Trust. Scope of Services Tree maintenance works be delivered by Suppliers who are qualified and competent Arborists and must comply with the requirements of BS3988:2010- Tree Work Recommendations and The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and is subject to the following conditions : 1.Tree Maintenance Works to be carried out only after Supplier has made reference to the appropriate guidance documents below : a.Tree maintenance works allowed as prescribed under List A ( Faculty Jurisdiction Rules 2015 Schedule 1: Table 1: A8) see below link http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2015/1568/schedule/1/made b.Tree maintenance works allowed as prescribed under List B ( Faculty Jurisdiction Rules 2015 Schedule 1:Table 2 :B6) see below link http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2015/1568/schedule/1/made c.Recommendations from an independent Arboriculturalist in the form of a survey report provided by the Registered User 2.The supplier should have the necessary experience and knowledge to ensure all Maintenance Works should be carried out to comply with BS 3398:2010 Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
