About this contract
The requirement is to develop an NXCT ( National X-Ray Competency Test) that is fit for purpose for current and future X-ray screening technologies, namely 3D / Computed Tomography (CT) based screening technology. The specification of such a test shall include: -Electronic / server based test distribution and upgrade mechanism, In addition to the current screening areas (i.e. Cabin Baggage, Hold Baggage and Cargo / Mail) the test shall include inflight supplies (IFS) -A single test (as opposed to three different tests as at present) where options for the screening area the test is being undertaken can be selected by the test administrator. -It shall be possible for a test administrator to select type of X-ray hardware used by the test taker. -Image interaction and enhancement tools shall be available to the test taker in both 2D and 3D imagery. -Detailed score reporting available to the test administrator in such a format as to be able to compare with Threat Image Projection (TIP) scores of the screener. This is to identify areas of improvement for the screener (e.g. in terms of threat types) to be able to tailor targeted training. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
