About this contract

NOTE: This notice was updated on 16 February 2018 for the following reason: Extension of the Submission DatePlaces of Worship and historic buildings have a duty to manage, maintain and restore the fabric of their buildings.. This tender invites submissions from organisations or sole traders who are qualified to deliver a range of Rainwater Goods Maintenance Services (gutter cleaning) and remedial works to listed and unlisted Places of Worship and Historic Buildings ( including associated domestic and non-domestic buildings) across England and Wales, as commissioned by Registered Users ( Users) through the MaintenanceBooker service, a national procurement portal ran by 2buy2 and the National Churches Trust. Scope of Services 1. Maintenance Work ( Gutter Clearance) a. Clean out all eaves, parapet and valley gutters, clean debris off flat roofs, clean rainwater hoppers/sumps/interceptors, collect debris and dispose off site. b. Clean out rainwater gullies, catch pits, inspection chambers connected to rainwater systems. Open, clean and reseal rodding eyes. c. Rod rainwater drainage systems and report on any blockages or other problems in writing. d. Report in writing any missing/broken roof tiles, slates or other roof coverings, loose/missing flaunchings, flashings and creasings, broken/loose/missing eaves, fascia boards, soffittes, rainwater goods. e. On completion of each property the Supplier is to provide the Clients and Registered User with an inspection report in a form approved by the Clients to include relevant photographs for record purposes in the format agreed with the Clients. The report must be available in an electronic format. f. Invoice and receive payment from the Registered User after delivery of the Services. g. Pay 2buy2 the commission on the Services fee in accordance with Clause 6 of the Framework Agreement. 2. Protection of Adjacent Surfaces a. Protect ground, wall and roof surfaces where access equipment bears. Fill/rake over any tyre tracks, indentations from ladder feet etc. The Supplier will be responsible for the making good of any damage caused to the building fabric sustained as a result of the Services. 3. Remedial works a.Tiling and Slating b. Felting c. Lead Flashing d. Wood work e. Chimneys f. Cladding g. Roof Lights Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
