About this contract

Market research services. The aim of the national data strategy (NDS) is to drive the collective vision that will support the UK to build a world-leading data economy. It will help ensure that people, businesses and organisations trust the data ecosystem, are sufficiently skilled to operate effectively within it, and can get access to high-quality data when they need it. As DCMS is responsible for data policy within government and within the wider economy, the NDS will also provide coherence and impetus to the wide range of data-led work across government while creating a shared understanding across the economy of how data is used. To ensure that the Strategy is robust and fit for purpose we will place people and the places they live at its heart. As society becomes increasingly data driven we need all citizens to be confident and effective in their participation, with an excellent awareness and understanding of the data economy and its effects on them. This is a broad remit and we will be in a continual process of engagement throughout to ensure that views from across society and government are taken into account. To achieve this, the Strategy team is undertaking a two-phased consultation with the first phase focused on evidence building, stakeholder engagement and testing the framework of the strategy. The second phase, will take the form of a full public consultation. We are looking to procure a partner who will support the delivery of the NDS full public consultation: - Design, develop and deliver a 12-week consultation across the UK, comprising of public engagement and consultation events - Deliver the consultation in a participatory manner, with a diverse cross-section of society. - Collect and collate public responses to the consultation from the consultation events - Develop a full, detailed consultation report that we can publish.
