About this contract
This research will be split into two parts: The 'pipeline' of children's social workers expected over the coming 3-5 years; This will collate information about the number of students currently in children's social work training across all routes into the profession, and expectations around numbers of placements expected to be offered to students going forward where this is available. The projected need for children's social workers over the coming 5-10 years; This will consider already existing established posts as well as the number of expected new posts required to meet demand in the future. This will also identify how many social workers we'll already expect to have (from training and retention) and what the shortfall therefore is. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
