About this contract
The Space Technology Applications from Research (STAR) project at the University of Leicester requires a Coordinate Measuring Machine, suitable for the accurate measurement of precision components, made from various grades of Stainless Steels/Steels, Aluminium Alloys, Brass, Copper Molybdenum and other materials. The Machine is needed to support a wide range of research groups and projects within the STAR project to measure/check components to a level of high accuracy for space flight and other areas of Engineering based research. The University proposes awarding a contract for a suitable machine by carrying out an open tender exercise. This procurement process is advertised on the University's electronic tendering portal (Delta E-Sourcing) and Contracts Finder as required within the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The contract is funded by a European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) grant award. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
