About this contract
THIS IS A "PRE-TENDER MARKET ENGAGEMENT" PROCESS A tender may follow this process but this request is not a tender. The Sport and Physical Activity team at the University would like to invite participation in a Pre-Tender Market Engagement Exercise (PTME) to seek the views of the market for the provision of Assisted Lifeguard Technology (ALT) to support with increasing water safety and further supporting the current lifeguarding provision. The University operates a 25m 8 lane pool with activities not limited to lane swimming, club sessions, swimming lessons, water polo, octopush underwater hockey and sub aqua. Following a recent review of how the facility operates it's swimming pool, the aim of the installation is to add another layer of safely and increase swimming pool standards. The University is seeking to understand the available supply options in more detail before going out to tender. After this engagement process, a tender is expected to be published, inviting bidders regardless of whether they have submitted a response to this PTME or not. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
